A new post! QAQ
A character design for a story I work on whenever Endless Echoes gets too confusing or Aurvandill Saga (Reina’s story) gets too depressing. This unnamed story was first created as a short game for RPG Maker, and thus the plot and character designs are meant to be simpler than my usual stuff. ‘u’
This girl replaces Arinna as the main character. So far I’m calling her Nia. I might change her name though.
I have yet to develop most of the universe where this story takes place, but here’s what I can share:
Nia is an orphaned girl from the village of Leier. She works at the lighthouse, both in its maintenance and as a lookout, signaling in the event of monsters approaching the city barrier, as well as guiding travelers through the dark fields. She is also part of the local guard, protecting the city when needed. Nia relies on her fists when fighting. She wears a necklace with a wadden shard to both protect herself should she wander too far from the barrier, and also to increase her fighting capabilities.
Next time I update I hope to post about the two other zanaki clans of Echoes or something about Habak. -.-
Why do you prefer it over drawing on paper? How do you do it? I’m under the impression that I’m getting worse and worse at digital art. Which is horrible, because in most professional works digital is required, and I can’t afford to sketch-and-scan, sketch-and-scan ad infinitum because it just won’t work for me. I’ll always feel better and more at ease with my watercolours and ink works, but right now perfecting digital lineart is not an option, it’s a necessity.
And god, the more I do it the harder it seems. I honestly can’t tell if it’s Photoshop’s fault (I also tried SAI and the lines came out oddly “craggy” and broken); if it’s my tablet that’s old and dying (a 3+ year-old Bamboo), or if I’m just plain terrible at it. I feel like any kind of precision is hopeless to achieve, because my strokes look nothing like they do on paper!!
So, what’s your process, brushes, tablets, secrets?

This is a post I’ve wanted to do for a while now. It’s past midnight, so I can’t really say I’ve “found the time” to do it, but I don’t care haha~ :DD
I probably should have made this post in this blog as well but I totally forgot. As of late, my life’s going through some huge changes, hopefully for the better. That means I’ll be left with very little time to draw Ace Attorney fanarts and updates should become more scarce. I’ll try to leave my queue full enough that you won’t notice my absence, but should I “disappear” for long periods of time, I just want you to know that I’m not on hiatus nor have I abandoned this blog.
Tumblr is the happiest place in the internet and Ace Attorney is the most precious fandom I’ve ever been part of. So please bear with me as I struggle through this new stage of my life.

I think at this point we should conflate that machi and eiri are sisters from another mother. or brain-cousins or something. |D
I very much like this idea :D
